Odyssey Partner Special PIAS Members Can Register for a Free Digital Print Seminar & Complimentary Technology Hall Pass The Odyssey is offering a special FREE seminar, co-sponsored by the PIAS, on Friday, May 6, entitled “Impact of Digital Printing Technology on Finishing and Packaging.” Representatives from Hewlett Packard, Color Steam Digital, Brightmarks, and Transilwrap will explore the impact of the digital printing world on finishing and packaging and how digital technology is working with decorative techniques to create specialty effects on cartons, labels and other packaging applications. After the seminar, PIAS members can use their free hall pass to explore the Odyssey Technology Hall. Here you can visit a full array of exhibitors displaying all types of supplies and equipment for diecutting/diemaking, foil stamping, UV coating, folding/gluing, film laminating and more. PIAS members may also be interested in a special on-press Techshop™ presentation on the HSFF (High-Speed Foil Fusing) process that fuses hot stamping foil with printing toner, thereby applying foiled images without the use of dies and very little makeready. Admission to this presentation—and any other Techshop or classroom session—may be purchased by PIAS members for $50 each.
